Voting opens for best smart government service in Dubai

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Smart Government is inviting residents of Dubai to vote for their favourite smart government service.

The program, which was launched His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, is intended to enable residents to select the smart government program which had made the biggest impact on their lives.

The program is run by Dubai the Model Centre, part of The Executive Council.

The Public Vote is one of the main components in the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Program for Smart Government. Through it, the public gets to vote for the year's Best Government Initiative in which several initiatives are nominated each year.

"Customer satisfaction is key to achieving further developments in smart government, and is a solid metric for measuring the compatibility of these services with the needs and aspiration of the public," said Sheikh Hamdan.

The nominees this year include Dubai Electricity and Water Authority's One Step Initiative; Smart refund by Dubai Customs; Montaji by Dubai Municipality; Dubai Health Authority's Dammi Application; RTA's Smart Transportation Initiative; Female Responder by Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services; Community Airport Application from Dubai Airports; and Dubai Expert by Dubai Tourism.

Voting is open to all residents at vote.dtmc.gov.ae until 7th December.

The finalists were shortlisted from 31 government entities and the winners will be announced next month.

The winning project is awarded the Hamdan bin Mohammed Program for Smart Government Flag.
