Inductor makers including Chilisin Electronics and Magic Technology are expected to see their third-quarter revenues hit record highs thanks to strong demand for PCs, games consoles and gaming devices, according to industry sources.
Magic Technology has posted consolidated revenues of NT$158 million for August 2017, up 15.3% on year and 11.3% sequentially. Revenues for the month were also a record high.
Magic Technology has enjoyed robust demand for graphics cards and gaming devices. The arrival of new capacity at Magic Technology's new plant in Chongqing, western China will also boost further the company's revenues in the second half of 2017.
Chilisin has reported August consolidated revenues of NT$1.15 billion - a record high for the sixth consecutive month. Chilisin's revenues were also buoyed by recognized sales by chip resistor specialist Ralec and ferrite cores supplier Ferroxcube which the company acquired recently.
